Stacy Scrip

Business Development Officer

Stacy Scrip brings both deep trust experience and an easy, collaborative approach to her role as a Business Development Officer at Capital First Trust Company. She’s often the first person settlement planners, attorneys, and families connect with when they’re exploring trust options and she prides herself on making those early conversations clear, comfortable, and productive.

Before moving into business development, Stacy was part of Capital First’s Trust Services Team and later served as a Senior Trust Case Manager. That hands-on background means she understands the entire lifecycle of a trust, from initial concept through account setup and transition into administration. She works closely with settlement planners and attorneys to help injured clients establish trust solutions that protect lawsuit proceeds while addressing the long-term goals and unique needs of each beneficiary. Throughout the process, Stacy provides trust proposals, reviews trust documents, and acts as a steady point of contact for all parties involved.

In her business development role, Stacy focuses on building strong, trust-based relationships within the settlement and legal communities. She regularly helps referral partners think through which trust structure makes sense, explains how Capital First supports the overall settlement plan, and ensures no one feels overwhelmed by the process. Stacy has also appeared on The Settlement Channel, where she’s shared insights on Settlement Preservation Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, and Capital First’s advisor-friendly approach.

Stacy holds the Registered Settlement Planner (RSP®), Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), Accredited Trust and Financial Advisor (ATFA), and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) designations. She is currently serving her seventh year on the Society of Settlement Planners (SSP) Board of Directors, reflecting her ongoing commitment to education and leadership within the settlement community.
