Bob Gerseny is responsible for the management of the Trust Administration Teams, the Case Management Group, and the Sioux Falls office. As the Trust Committee Chairperson, he guides the Company’s fiduciary practice focusing on sensitivity to client needs and creative solutions towards client goals. Gerseny works to achieve responsive professional servicing, thoughtful effective experiences, and long-term financial success for our clients.
Gerseny has been engaged in the trust industry for over 35 years. Starting in regional banking, he has been personally responsible for the administration of numerous estates, trusts, charitable trusts and institutional endowments. He has managed trust administration, sales, real estate, tax, charitable trust, and retirement plan departments. Gerseny is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, where he earned his law degree, and completed his undergraduate degree at Ohio Wesleyan University. Gerseny has earned management and planning designations from Babson and Merrimack Colleges.
Gerseny has been a member of bar association committees and estate planning organizations and non-profit Boards. He also has been elected to local public offices. Gerseny has been a member of bar association committees charged with drafting state statutes governing trusts and trust companies. Prior to joining Capital First, he developed a consulting practice advising families and professional firms interested in chartering trust companies.
