Jorge Aguilar Segura
Senior Trust Officer
Jorge Aguilar Segura is a Senior Trust Officer and has been with Capital First Trust Company since 2009. Jorge works with settlement planners and financial advisors during the trust implementation process. He also works with his beneficiaries to identify resources, address their needs, and provide support to achieve trust goals.
Jorge has over 10 years of experience working with a variety of trusts that include: special needs trusts, settlement preservation trusts, and advisor directed trusts. Jorge has extensive knowledge working with New York court-supervised trusts and Article 81 guardianships.
He has presented to the Georgia State Bar for their ICLE Special Needs Trust program, and drafted a corresponding paper ‘Special Needs Trusts: The Trustee’s Perspective’. He regularly travels to meet with beneficiaries for new trust relationships and has testified as an expert witness on trust administration at court hearings. Jorge collaborates with the trust service teams to assist in solving complex questions and situations.
Jorge earned his bachelor’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University. He conducts business in both English and Spanish and has completed the Trust I, II, and III courses at the Cannon Financial Institute and holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. He enjoys hiking, mountaineering, volunteering at his local Parish, and leading his oldest son’s Cub Scout Den.
